Gum Arabica
Gum Arabic, derived from Acacia trees, is a vital natural resource with economic importance, as its sustainable harvesting not only supports local economies in marginalized arid areas in Africa but also plays a key role in poverty alleviation by providing income opportunities for communities through its cultivation and trade.
We have empowered and partnered with 1,000 Gum Arabic collectors in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, contributing to the exportation of over 300 metric tonnes of Food Grade Gum Arabic, not only promoting sustainable harvesting practices but also fostering economic growth in marginalized regions.
